I’m Diego. I was born and raised in Colombia but have been living in Madrid, Spain for many years. I hold a BFA in Graphic Design from the National University of Colombia (Universidad Nacional de Colombia) and studied CGI in Spain.
I’ve been involved in a variety of projects during my work life: TV commercials, digital campaigns, activations, UI/UX Design, Branding, and Graphic Design.
Throughout the years, I’ve led award-winning projects honored at the most important festivals in the world such as Cannes, DMA Echo Awards, One Show, FIAP, London International Awards, and, in Spain, El Sol and CdeC.
The list of brands I have worked for includes ING Spain, BMW, La ONCE, Iberdrola, Cepsa, Iberia, Fnac, Johnnie Walker, Guggenheim Bilbao Museum, MINI, IBM, and Movistar.
I was creative director and head of art at Ogilvy Spain for many years, mainly in projects in digital environments which are where I feel I can do my best.
Currently, I work as a freelance graphic designer and creative art director. I help overworked advertising agencies' creative teams, design studios, and marketing/brand departments by designing and proposing visual solutions for ad campaigns, communications in digital environments, and branding projects. This allows them to concentrate on their top priorities while knowing that the visual aspect of their projects is in good hands.
